Smart Lever is made in Britain by Bicycle Innovations in Hampshire, UK. 

When we say “Made in Britain” we really mean it: the stainless-steel handles and plastic moulded parts are all made in Britain and both Smart Lever and Bead Lever are also assembled here.

Smart Lever was invented and designed by Mark Searles, an English industrial designer who has had 7 patents granted, all in bicycle technology. Mark is a lifelong cyclist. He designed the first ebikes to look like unassisted bikes back in 2008, invented the ebike sprocket gear tooth sensor and introduced the water bottle battery concept for ebikes.
